I'm actually interested...why are you so anti-Sloane?

it's not that I'm anti-Sloane. I'm over-saturated with Sloane. and I think it's ridiculous that a luncheon which is supposed to help us connect with the media and improve our jobs is asking us to pay to listen to Sloane talk about her perspective. I'd be more interested in hearing her publicist speak than her. since I don't see myself being a publicist and an author in the future - and since I doubt that Sloane's "experience" as an author is even remotely similar to what most authors go through - I don't really understand what I'm supposed to learn. except how Sloane is apparently a wonderchild and the rest of us slackers will never measure up.
